Gale Street Inn has always and will continue to keep the health and safety of our employees, guests and the community as our highest priority.
We have a consistent housekeeping plan in place that includes deep cleans on our closed Tuesday’s, along with our daily and in-shift cleaning.
Current data for COVID-19/Coronavirus suggests that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic (without symptoms), and most of the persons who become ill completely recover within 2 weeks. People of all ages can be infected by COVID-19, but older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus. In light of the fears surrounding COVID-19 we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know the policies and procedures that we have implemented.
What we do:
• Closely monitor the advice and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and state and local government.
• Educate our employees on preventive measures recommended by the CDC.
• In addition to our weekly deep cleaning we will increase the frequency and extent of our daily and in-shift cleaning practices in the kitchen, bathrooms, bar, reception and dining rooms.
• Increase sanitation and hand washing frequency for employees.
• Minimize personal contact within our restaurant, including shaking hands.
Prevention:
We’ve gathered information from the CDC on basic protective measures:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue away.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
We will continue to monitor all recommendations from the CDC and state and local government agencies and will make any adjustments necessary to ensure we are doing everything in our power keep you safe in our restaurant.
